Website design for small businesses

A website should do one job: turn the people who find you into people who call you. That is the whole brief we work to.

Most small business websites fail for the same three reasons. They load slowly, they look like a template everyone else is using, and they bury the phone number. We build the opposite — fast, custom, and impossible to contact by accident.

Every build starts with your actual business, not a theme. What do you sell, who buys it, and what does someone need to see before they trust you with money? We design around those answers, then get out of the way.

Designed around your offer

No drag-and-drop template shuffle. We lay out the page around what you sell and the order people need to hear it in.

Built to be contacted

Tap-to-call, a short form that actually sends, and a clear next step on every screen — not buried in a Contact tab.

Fast on a phone

Most of your traffic is on mobile data. Pages are built lean so they open before someone gives up and hits back.

What you actually get

A complete site — usually home, services, about, and contact, with more pages if your business needs them. Copy written for you, not lorem ipsum you have to replace. Real photos sourced or your own cleaned up and optimised.

On the technical side: mobile-first layout, proper heading structure, page titles and descriptions written for search, a sitemap and robots file, schema markup so Google understands what kind of business you are, and an SSL certificate. These are the things that quietly decide whether you ever show up in results.

How long it takes

Most sites go live within a week of getting your content. The bottleneck is almost never us — it is waiting on photos, your service list, and the details only you know. Send those quickly and it moves quickly.

You see a real working draft before anything goes live. Revisions are included. We do not hand over a design mockup and call it done — you get the actual site, on a real link, that you can click through on your phone.

Common questions

Straight answers. If yours is not here, call and ask.

How much does a small business website cost?

Starter sites run $600–900, Growth $1,200–1,800, Premium $2,500–4,000, and Elite $5,000+ for larger custom builds. The price is fixed and quoted before we start — no hourly surprises.

Do I need to write the content myself?

No. Send us your service list, a few sentences about the business, and any photos you have. We write the rest and you approve it.

What happens after the site is live?

Hosting, security, backups and content edits are covered under our care plan. You email us the change and we make it — you never open a code editor.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain stays in your name and the site is yours. If you ever leave, we hand over the files.

Is this affordable web design for a small business?

That is the point of fixed bands: $600–900 gets a complete professional site with the copy written for you. Affordable should mean a fair price for real work, not a template with your logo dropped in.

I searched 'web designer near me' — do you cover my area?

Almost certainly. We work remotely across the USA, Canada and Europe with hubs in Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and Paris — same fixed pricing and turnaround everywhere.
